Love! Love! LOVE!

We love this! My 3 and 5 year old like spelling out their name and site words with this. Sometimes it just using the letter J as a fishing hook to pick up other letters out of a cube but that's okay too! We leave this out all the time for them on the shelf for full access and they gravitate to it a lot. I was worried the thrill of the new toy would wear off but we introduced it in December and 4 months later they still choose it when they head to the shelf. Highly recommend this one!

So much fun!

I'm so excited to use this with my baby when she's a little older. Comes in a nice wooden box and each letter has its own compartment! I'm obsessed with Montessori toys.

An Essential Literacy Tool

An Essential Literacy Tool

The Montessori & Me Movable Alphabet is a classic Montessori material often used for teaching writing, reading and spelling. Its versatility makes it the perfect tool for common literacy activities such as beginning letter sounds, object matching, and storytelling.

Communicate on Another Level

Communicate on Another Level

The Movable Alphabet is an incredibly powerful tool that allows children to express themselves with “written” language at an early age, long before they have developed the fine motor skills required to use a pen or pencil. Give your child the freedom to start writing!

Dual Purpose Wooden Case

Dual Purpose Wooden Case

The Montessori & Me Movable Alphabet features a dual-purpose wooden case. Just flip open the wooden lid to reveal three rows of painted ruling lines, ready for your child’s letter placement! This clever design allows the lid to double as your child’s work space and helps with development of letter spacing and alignment.

Getting Started

Getting Started

Invite your child to use the Movable Alphabet by setting the opened box in front of them. Ask your child to find the letters that correspond with different sounds. For example, "Can you find 'buh' as in bus?" Continue practicing finding and indentifying letters with your child until they feel confident with the Movable Alphabet. Upon completion of the excercise, have your child put the letters back in the box in their proper compartments.
